Mumbai: Massive Fire Breaks Out at Shop in Kandivali Area; Victims Suffer Up to 90% Burns

Mumbai News: A fire broke out on Wednesday morning in a shop at Ram Kisan Mestri Chawl, Kandivali (E), near Akurli Maintenance Chowki, Mumbai. The fire affected the electric wiring, an LPG cylinder, a gas stove, and nearby equipment. The Mumbai Fire Brigade quickly put out the blaze by 9:33 AM. Seven people got burn injuries and were taken to ESIC Hospital. Later, three of them were moved to BDBA Hospital for more treatment. The injured, including Shivani Gandhi, Nitu Gupta, Janaki Gupta, Raksha Joshi, Durga Gupta, and Poonam, suffered burns covering 40% to 90% of their bodies. Dr Vilas Takke treated them before they were transferred to Kasturba Hospital for further care. Read more
