A fire broke out at the Delhi BJP office on Thursday, reportedly due to a short circuit. No casualties were reported during the incident.The Delhi Fire Services received a call at around 4.25pm regarding the fire at the BJP office located at Pandit Pant Marg."Three fire tenders were pressed into service," the DFS official said, adding that the fire was brought under control within a few minutes.A short circuit in the electricity meter box triggered the minor fire incident, BJP said in a statement."We have informed the matter to the police for further investigation," DFS official said.The fire incident occurred days after a massive fire broke out at the Income Tax CR Building at ITO in central Delhi, resulting in the death of a 46-year-old income tax officer.As many as 21 fire tenders were rushed to the spot and it took around four hours to douse the blaze.According to a police officer, the fire started in the office of the Commissioner in room number 325 on the third floor of the building. He said many of the employees were outside the building as it was lunchtime, otherwise, the casualty could have been more."It is suspected that fire occurred due to a short circuit in the air conditioner but the actual cause will be ascertained only after forensic examination's report," the officer said."It appears that he was not able to come out due to the dense smoke inside of the building and suffocated to death ," the police officer said.With PTI inputs

The Delhi Fire Services received a call at around 4.25pm regarding the fire at the BJP office located at Pandit Pant Marg.

"Three fire tenders were pressed into service," the DFS official said, adding that the fire was brought under control within a few minutes.
