In another incident last month, a fire broke out in Mumbai's commercial hub, the Options Commercial Centre located in Milan Subway, Santacruz West. The incident was reported by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's (BMC) Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB). The fire, which was confined to the electric wiring and installations on the second-floor gala of the building, occurred in a structure comprising two basements, a ground floor, and two upper floors. With the coordinated efforts of the MFB, Police, 108 Ambulance service, and Ward Staff, a total of thirty-seven individuals were successfully rescued from the second floor and terrace of the building using Turn Table Ladder (TTL) and stairs by firemen.
