3 Dead After Fire Breaks Out In Mumbai’s Lokhandwala Complex; Visual Shows Charred Bed

Mumbai: A fire broke out at Riya Palace in Lokhandwala Complex, Andheri West, Mumbai, on October 16, killing three individuals. The incident was reported to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s (BMC) Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) at 8:05 AM. According to reports, the fire was confined to a residential flat on the 10th floor of the 14-storey building. Firefighters swiftly responded to the emergency and extinguished the blaze by 8:58 AM. Unfortunately, despite their efforts, three residents were found unresponsive in the flat. The deceased have been identified as 74-year-old Chandraprakash Soni, 74-year-old Kanta Soni, and 42-year-old Pelubeta. All three were declared brought dead by the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) at Cooper Hospital. Further details are awaited as investigations continue into the cause of the fire.
