New Delhi: Two women and a man working at Mahajan Electronics on Ring Road in Delhi’s Raja Garden died after suffering severe burn injuries in a fire on Monday afternoon, officials said. The Delhi Fire Service rushed to the spot after receiving information about the blaze and managed to bring the fire under control. According to officials, a call was received around 2:30 pm reporting flames at the showroom on Ring Road. Firefighters reached the site promptly and rescued four people trapped inside, who were then rushed to a nearby hospital. However, doctors confirmed that three of them died while undergoing treatment. The fourth person, identified as Sandeep, is still receiving medical care. A firefighter was also injured during the rescue operation. While the situation is now under control, officials are investigating the cause of the fire. Massive fire broke out at Vishal Mega Mart in Delhi’s Karol Bagh area, killing two men, officials said. One of the men, 25-year-old Kumar Dhirender Pratap, got stuck in the lift and died from suffocation. The other body, badly burnt, was found inside the store, but the identity is still unknown. Emergency responders found Kumar unconscious and took him to Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, where he was declared dead. The fire led to a large firefighting operation, with many fire engines called to control the blaze and keep people safe. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
