A massive fire broke out at a local factory in Delhi’s Inderlok area on Monday (February 16). The flames quickly escalated, sending thick black smoke billowing into the sky and making the fire visible from a distance. Eight fire tenders were rushed to the spot after a call reporting the blaze was received at 11.37 am, an official of the Delhi Fire Services (DFS) said. The firefighters are still working to douse the flames, he said, adding that no one was injured in the incident.,The exact cause of the fire is still not known., ,Being a densely populated area, controlling the situation posed a major challenge for authorities. Firefighters prioritised preventing the blaze from spreading to nearby buildings while also ensuring that anyone trapped inside the factory was safely evacuated. ,Another fire incident on Monday was reported in Rajasthan, where at least seven workers reportedly burnt alive in the blaze at a chemical factory in Bhiwadi. More than 20 workers were present at the time of the incident. The fire broke out in Bhiwadi’s Khushkhera-Karoli industrial area.,,Additional District Magistrate Sumita Mishra said police came to know about the incident during a routine patrol following which a rescue operation was launched immediately.,Rajasthan Minister of State for Home Jawahar Singh Bedham said that the state government has directed a detailed investigation into the incident and assured strict action if any negligence is found. “Every aspect of the case will be examined,” he said, adding that the exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined.,Two critically injured persons have been referred to Delhi for advanced treatment, while several others sustained burn injuries. Rescue operations at the site have been completed.,Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma also expressed grief over the tragedy and deputed Minister Sanjay Sharma to visit Bhiwadi immediately.
