Fire Breaks Out at Dhaka airport; All Flights Suspended

A fire broke out at a section of the Cargo Village of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Bangladesh capital Dhaka this afternoon, according to news agency PTI. According to local media, the fire started around 2:30 p.m. at the airport’s Cargo Village near Gate No. 8. All flights have been suspended following the incident. Fire Service spokesman Talha Bin Jashim said nine firefighting units were initially deployed to control the fire, with fifteen more heading to the scene soon after, bdnews reported.
