What Authorities Say
Fire Brigade officials have indicated that the response to the Goregaon fire was swift, helped by the cooperation of residents and multiple agencies.Meanwhile, investigations will probe into whether all safety and building regulation norms were followed, particularly in meter room installation, wiring, and evacuation access.
Conclusion
Though the fire in the Goregaon SRA building caused alarm, swift action by the Mumbai Fire Brigade and related civic agencies prevented casualties. This incident underscores the ongoing need to enforce safety norms in residential buildings and to ensure preventive measures are maintained, to avoid tragedies in future.
