A century‑old Dimple Lodge on Chhota Shimla’s Circular Road caught fire at 8 AM, taking over 4 hours to control. Firefighters battled extensive wooden walls while forensic teams investigate the cause.
A major fire broke out at the more than century-old heritage building Dimple Lodge, located downhill from the Circular Road near Chhota Shimla, on Wednesday at around 8 AM. At least eight fire tenders, including three small ones, were deployed to control the blaze, which took over four hours to bring under control.
Despite the efforts, smoke continued to emanate from the building late till the evening. A team of forensic experts from the State Forensic Science Laboratory, Junga, later inspected the site.
