According to DFS officials, four people — two women and two men — fell unconscious after inhaling smoke and were rushed to nearby hospitals in ambulances.
Four persons died after a fire broke out on the second floor of an electronics store in West Delhi’s Raja Garden on Monday. According to the police, the PCR call regarding the fire was received around 3 pm, prompting the police personnel and Delhi Fire Services (DFS) to rush to the spot. The DFS deployed five fire tenders to the area.
“On reaching there, it was informed by the people present there that five individuals were trapped inside. After efforts, all of them were taken out and sent to hospitals. Four persons have lost their lives in this unfortunate incident while one is under treatment,” said DCP (West) Vichitra Veer.
