Goa nightclub blaze: Fire brigade issues safety advisory for clubs, hotels, event venues in Pune | Pune News – The Indian Express

The advisory for hotels, clubs and event venues was issued by Devendra Potphode, Chief Fire Officer, Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), on Thursday.

In the backdrop of the blaze at a nightclub in Goa that killed 25 people last week, the Pune City Fire Brigade has issued a fire safety advisory for clubs, hotels and event venues in the city. The advisory includes guidelines for these establishments preparing to host gatherings, late-night events and entertainment events for the upcoming festive season.

The advisory for hotels, clubs and event venues was issued by Devendra Potphode, Chief Fire Officer, Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), on Thursday. “With the festive season approaching, several hotels, clubs and event venues will host high-density gatherings, late-night events and temporary entertainment setups. In light of the recent tragic nightclub fire in Goa, the Pune Fire Brigade urges all establishments to strictly follow the guidelines to ensure safety of guests, staff and performers,” Potphode said.
