New Delhi: A major fire broke out in a flat on First Floor of Gaur City 16th Avenue L Block in Uttar Pradesh’s Greater Noida on October 17. A video of the incident is going viral on social media, showing a large crowd gathered outside a building where the fire took place. Shortly after receiving the information, the fire brigade officials rushed to the scene to control the flames. The cause of fire is yet to be ascertained. As of now, no casualty has been reported. However, efforts are underway to extinguish the fire. More details are awaited in the matter. Woman Trapped in Blazing Apartment Dies of Suffocation A similar incident took place last week where a Noida resident died after being trapped on the first floor of a residential complex in Sector 27. The police identified the victim as Shweta Singh. They said the woman was living on the second floor of the house. Big Relief Coming Soon For Commuters The fire reportedly broke out due to a cylinder explosion on the first floor of the house. ”Today, on 11.10.2024, information was received about fire due to cylinder explosion on the first floor of a house located in Sector-27 Noida under Police Station Sector-20 area, on which Additional Police Commissioner Law and Order, DCP Noida and CFO ” The woman living on the first floor told that she had gone to the market at the time of the incident. She was informed about the fire on the board by her son. During investigation, it was found that there was a fire on the board which was caused by some firecrackers kept in the house. After the fire was extinguished, a search operation was conducted in the entire house and two women living on the second floor were found unconscious due to smoke, who were admitted to the hospital. People living on the first floor are safe. Sector-20 Police is investigating and taking further action,” Statement of Noida Police read.
