Ambala/Faridabad: A massive fire broke out at a Vishal Mega Mart outlet in Ambala, Haryana, on Tuesday, sending thick plumes of smoke into the air and prompting urgent firefighting operations. Fire tenders rushed to the spot, and teams are working to bring the blaze under control. The cause of the fire is not yet known, and no casualties have been reported so far. According to initial reports, the blaze is believed to have been triggered by a blast in the air conditioner’s compression unit, which then spread smoke rapidly through the building. Video of Vishal Mega Mart Fire: Neighbours recalled the harrowing moments when they realised the family was trapped inside. “We are their neighbours. We came to know that due to a blast in the AC’s compression, the smoke spread in the whole building. There were four people in the house. Three have died. Police are present at the spot,” said Shalini, a resident who witnessed the aftermath. Four individuals were inside the home when the fire broke out.
