Delhi RO factory fire

A fire broke out at an RO water purifier manufacturing factory in Delhi’s Kanjhawala Industrial Area on Wednesday morning. The incident led to a major emergency response, with dozens of fire vehicles rushed to the spot to control the flames. Officials confirmed that no casualties or injuries were reported till the latest update.

Fire Call Received Early Morning

According to the Delhi Fire Service, the fire control room received the first distress call at around 9:54 AM. As the flames continued to spread inside the factory premises, the fire category was upgraded to a medium-level fire by afternoon. Firefighters immediately began rescue and cooling operations to stop the blaze from spreading to nearby industrial units.

28 Fire Vehicles Sent To The Spot

The firefighting operation involved 28 fire vehicles, including water tenders, foam tenders, hydraulic platforms, and other emergency equipment. Officials also deployed a mini firefighting robot to assist inside the smoke-filled area. Thick smoke rising from the factory created visibility problems for emergency teams during the operation.

Structural Safety Became A Major Concern

Delhi Fire Service officials stated that the building’s condition became unsafe during the operation. Due to the risk of collapse, firefighters avoided entering the structure and continued firefighting efforts from outside the factory. Authorities also took preventive steps to ensure the fire did not spread to surrounding factories in the industrial area.

Water Shortage Added To The Challenge

Officials said the absence of a nearby water source slowed down firefighting efforts. Teams had to manage water supply carefully while continuing operations for several hours. Despite the difficulties, emergency crews managed to keep nearby units safe and prevent a larger industrial disaster.

Fire Safety Questions Rise Again

The Kanjhawala factory fire has once again highlighted the importance of industrial fire safety in crowded manufacturing zones. Experts often stress the need for regular electrical inspections, fire audits, emergency exits, and proper firefighting systems in industrial buildings to reduce the risk of such incidents.

Conclusion

The quick response by Delhi Fire Service helped prevent loss of life in the Kanjhawala RO factory fire. While the exact cause of the fire is still under investigation, the incident serves as a strong reminder that fire safety preparedness is critical in industrial areas where a single spark can lead to major damage.
