Fire Breaks Out At Laddu Distribution Counter Of Tirupati’s Venkateswara Temple

A massive fire broke out at the laddu distribution counter at the Lord Venkateswara Temple in Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh on Monday afternoon. The temple administration took swift action and vacated the area as the flames spread. The incident took place at the counter number 47 and is said to have been trigerred by a short circuit in the uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system associated with the computer setup. According to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) officials, chaos ensued near Vishnu Niwasam, close to the Tirumala Srivari Vaikuntha Dwara ticketing counter, during the distribution of ‘darshan’ tokens to the devotees who had gathered for ‘Ekadasi Darshan’.
