Day after Mahim fire, fire brigade asks BMC to inspect the total number of illegal eateries in their area | Mumbai News – The Indian Express

On Friday evening, a fire broke out in an eatery located at the Old Cadell Road. The eatery also served as a cloud kitchen and the deceased was an employee in the kitchen who succumbed to burn injuries.

A day after a blaze broke out at Old Cadell Road near Mahim Dargah–claiming one life and injuring seven others–the Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) has instructed the local civic ward office to carry out an inspection of eateries and cloud kitchen in the area that are operating without valid permission from the authorities.

On Friday evening, a fire broke out in an eatery located at the Old Cadell Road. The eatery also served as a cloud kitchen and the deceased was an employee in the kitchen who succumbed to burn injuries. Out of the seven other injured persons, one of them is in critical condition and is undergoing treatment at the Sion hospital.
