Maharashtra: Massive Fire Breaks Out at Mattress Factory, Flames Spread Through Foam; Several Injured

Mumbai: A massive fire broke out at a mattress factory located in the Kona Gram Panchayat limits of Wada taluka in Palghar district of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) on Wednesday, November 19. Officials have rushed to the incident site and are attempting to extinguish the flames. As of now, there is no casualties, while a rescue operation is underway. “Several workers have suffered injuries. The fire has flared up due to the foam used to make mattresses in large quantities in the factory, and locals and police have reached the spot. Efforts are being made to extinguish the fire; the cause of the fire is unclear,” said officials. More details are awaited.
