A fire broke out at a takeaway-style restaurant in Delhi’s Satya Niketan area near Delhi University’s South Campus early Wednesday morning, days after a deadly blaze at a hotel in Malviya Nagar raised concerns over fire safety in the national capital. According to fire department officials, a call about the fire was received at around 6.09 am from the restaurant located under the Chanakyapuri division. Soon after the alert, authorities rushed multiple firefighting vehicles to the spot, including two water tenders, a water bowser and a quick response vehicle. Firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control before it could spread to nearby buildings.
