Fire Breaks Out In Richmond, California

A fire has reportedly broken out on Bissell Avenue in Richmond, California, near a Target shopping center close to BART tracks. Although there is no official statement yet, photos circulating online show a large plume of smoke rising into the sky. The Richmond Fire Department got a call on Wednesday morning for a vegetation fire on the Richmond Greenway and arrived to discover that multiple structures were hit by the fire, local media outlet Grandview Independent reported. The fire broke out around 11.30 am on Wednesday and burned several structures, sending plumes of dark smoke into the sky. The firefighters worked to bring the fire under control. Traffic was also diverted around multiple areas across the neighbourhood as firefighters worked to put out the fire.
