New Delhi’s Connaught Place and Khan Market saw two incidents of fires breaking out in restaurant kitchens last month.

A fire broke out in the kitchen of a restaurant in New Delhi’s Connaught Place around 11.55 am on Thursday, reportedly following an LPG cylinder leak. Six people sustained burns in the incident and were rushed to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital before the arrival of fire services.

On receiving an emergency call, the Delhi Fire Services dispatched six fire tenders to the location, Bikkgane Biryani in P Block. Firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control and prevented further damage.
