The training will be given by the state Fire Services Department. The initiative will enhance the state’s disaster preparedness and safety infrastructure besides providing jobs to the youth, said an official.
The state government has decided to provide training to 2 lakh youth to create avenues for their employment as fire safety officers and personnel in private hospitals, schools, malls and other commercial set-ups, an official said.
