Thousands displaced after the fires wreaked havoc even as NBA big names from Lakers and Clippers directly affected.

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said the wildfires in California, started by Santa Ana winds, had a “terrifying impact” and was quoted as saying by CNN that that his mother was forced to evacuate her home in Pacific Palisades.

Kerr also said team video assistant Everett Dayton, who grew up in Pacific Palisades, lost his family home in the fire.
