Major fire at ED office building in south Mumbai, no injuries | Mumbai News – The Indian Express

Mumbai Fire Brigade said the reason behind the fire at the ED office in south Mumbai is unclear.

A major fire broke out inside the office of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) at Ballard Estate in south Mumbai in the early hours of Sunday. According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s (BMC) disaster cell, a minor blaze broke out around 2.31 am; however, with time, the flames intensified. The firefighting operation is still underway, and no injuries have been reported so far.

The blaze was initially identified as level 1 (minor); however, one hour later, it was reclassified as level 2. Around 3.30 am, MFB officials upgraded the blaze to level 3. The blaze was reported on the fourth floor of the six-storey building.
