Massive Fire Breaks Out At Tata Electronics Factory In Tamil Nadu’s Hosur – VIDEO

Chennai: A massive fire broke out at a chemical godown of the electronics component factory of Tata Electronics Private Limited in Tamil Nadu in the early hours of Saturday. The fire first started in the mobile phone accessories painting unit at around 5.30 am on Saturday morning following which the employees were evacuated from the premises. Seven fire tenders from Hosur and nearby districts were pressed into service. They doused the flames after battling for hours. 3 employees, who complained of respiratory difficulties, were immediately taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. However, there were no casualties nor anyone injured due to the incident. The cause of fire is yet to be ascertained. The local police have registered a case and investigation is underway. Police sources told Times Now that around 1500 employees were present inside the factory during the morning shift. Following the incident, Tata Electronics Private Limited released a statement saying that all emergency protocols at the factory ensured employees safety. Read more
