Udit Narayan Assures Fans He’s Safe After Fire Breaks Out At His Mumbai Residence

The news of singer Udit Narayan’s building catching fire shook his fans. The incident occurred on the night of January 6, 2025, at Skypan Apartments in Shastri Nagar, Andheri West, around 9:15 p.m. According to reports, the fire claimed one life and left another individual injured. Talking about the ordeal, Udit Narayan described it as a’ challenging and distressing night.’ Udit Narayan confirms he is safe According to India Today, the singer confirmed to the news portal that he is safe and stays in the A wing, while the fire broke out in the B wing, tragically claiming one life. He further added that the building’s alarms went off, and residents had to remain downstairs for four to five hours. The fire, which began around 9 pm, continued until midnight or early morning. The Mumbai Fire Brigade Headquarters in Byculla confirmed Rahul Mishra’s death and revealed that the fire is believed to have originated from an electrical device in his apartment. A bystander at the scene suggested that the fire might have been caused by a diya, whose flame reportedly spread to nearby curtains. Mrs. Mishra, who was in the apartment during the incident, ran downstairs seeking help. Her cries prompted the building’s watchmen to rush to the flat, but their efforts came too late. According to a report by The Times of India, the road leading to the residential building was completely blocked, and the electricity supply was immediately cut off once residents became aware of the fire. Around 11:30 p.m., fragments of metal and glass were seen falling from the affected flat as firefighters carried out cooling operations to contain the aftermath of the blaze.
