Recently, a fire broke out in veteran singer Udit Narayan’s residential building, Oberoi Complex in Mumbai’s Andheri. Although he and his family are unharmed, the incident has left them deeply shocked. After assuring that he was okay, the legendary playback singer opened up about how it has deeply impacted him. Udit Narayan on fire incident in his building He was quoted as saying, “The fire broke out around 9 pm. I stay on the 11th floor in A wing, and the fire broke out in B wing. We all got down, and were in the building premises for at least three to four hours. It was very dangerous, anything could’ve happened. Grateful to the almighty and our well-wishers that we are safe.” The singer added, “This incident has affected me mentally, and it will take a while to get over it. When you hear of such an incident, you feel for it, but when you are in a similar situation you understand how much painful it is.” Fire in Oberoi Complex According to reports, the fire broke out in a flat on the 11th floor of the high-rise Sky Pan building in the complex. The exact cause of the blaze has not been confirmed yet. While bystanders claimed that a diya caused it, officials suspect an electrical malfunction led to a short circuit.
