The fire at the under-construction Sabarmati bullet train station in Ahmedabad was reportedly caused by welding sparks that fell on wooden sheets being used for construction, as per officials.
A fire broke out at the under-construction Sabarmati bullet train station in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad early on Saturday morning during welding work at the site. Workers at the location were immediately evacuated and no injuries or casualties were reported, officials said.
The incident occurred at around 6.30 am when welding work for roof shuttering a part of the station was going on. The Ahmedabad Fire and Emergency Services (AFES) rushed 14 fire tenders to the spot and brought the fire under control.
