The fire department doused the fire near mini secretariat in Gurugram in 20 minutes.

A fire broke out at a parking lot near the mini secretariat in Gurugram’s Sector 11 Saturday evening. The flames engulfed several old vehicles seized by the Regional Transport Office (RTO) for being past their expiry date.

Bhim Nagar Fire Safety Officer Narender Singh told The Indian Express that the fire brigade responded swiftly. “Within 20-25 minutes, the flames were doused. We cannot estimate how many vehicles were burned since we did not have a count of how many had been kept there in the first place”, he said. The affected vehicles included bicycles and tempos. He said the area had debris and garbage, which may have initially caught fire.
