A fire broke out in a coach of the Sasaram-Patna fast passenger train at Sasaram Railway Station on Monday, triggering panic among passengers shortly before the train’s scheduled departure. According to a report by NDTV, the blaze was suspected to have been caused by a short circuit. The affected coach caught fire while the train was stationed at platform number six, prompting railway personnel and emergency teams to rush to the spot to contain the flames. Visuals from the station showed thick black smoke billowing from the coach as firefighters worked to bring the situation under control. The burning rake was detached from the rest of the train to prevent the fire from spreading further. The flames also reportedly spread to nearby trees along the railway tracks. No casualties or injuries were reported in the incident. The fire comes just a day after another major train fire incident involving a Delhi-bound Rajdhani Express in Madhya Pradesh. In that case, an air-conditioned coach caught fire between Vikramgarh Alot and Luni Richha stations in Ratlam district, damaging an adjoining luggage-cum-guard van. All passengers were safely evacuated. Visit Times Now for the Latest news, India News, and breaking stories from around the World. Read more
